§ 31.035 ELECTION; QUALIFICATION.
   The Mayor shall be elected by the qualified voters of the city and shall hold his or her office for such term as is provided by § 4 of Article II of the City Charter. He or she shall have the qualifications for office required by § 5 of Article II of the City Charter. The term of the Mayor shall be limited to three consecutive one-year terms and the Mayor is prohibited from seeking re-election to the office of Mayor for three years thereafter.
