(A) It shall be the duty of the Health Officer to enforce all ordinances, rules and regulations containing provisions for the protection of public health, provided, however, that the duties of the Health Officer shall not include any such duties that are within the exclusive jurisdiction of the Lake County Health Department, Illinois Department of Public Health, or State Board of Health.
(B) The Health Officer shall maintain liaison with the County Health Department, and shall inform, coordinate with, and assist the officers, sanitarians and technicians of the County Health Department in making inspections in the city, and in enforcing such statutes, ordinances, rules and regulations of the city, the state and of the County Board of Health as pertain to public health in the city.
