Any officer or employee should report any circumstances that may give rise to a violation of this chapter to the Ethics Officer for review and recommendation to the Ethics Commission pursuant to §§ 40.65 and 40.66 of this chapter. No officer or employee who makes a good faith report of an actual or perceived violation, or of circumstances that may give rise to any such violation, shall face any discipline or other retaliation as a consequence of making the report.
