(A) Purpose. The Board is responsible for administering the Firefighters’ Pension Fund in accordance 40 ILCS 5/4-101 et seq., for the benefit of its firefighters and of their surviving spouses, children, and certain other dependents.
(B) Powers and duties. The Board shall do and have all powers and perform all duties required of or imposed upon it by 40 ILCS 5/4-101 et seq. and shall administer the said Fund in accordance with 40 ILCS 5/4-101 et seq.
