§ 35.21 FILING PROOFS.
   In all cases of contested elections, the proofs shall be taken and filed with the City Clerk, as hereinafter provided, within 30 days from the day fixed by the City Council for taking the same; provided, that the Council may, from time to time, upon sufficient cause shown, extend the time for taking and filing said proofs.
