(A) Directory signs identifying businesses within an identifiable shopping district such as, but not limited to, Market Square or Settler’s Square, are permitted as freestanding, lighted signs.
(B) The location, size and design of the directory signs are subject to the review and approval of the Historic Preservation Commission or Building Review Board, as the case may be, but in no event may such directory signs exceed four square feet in total surface area.
