(A) A needs assessment shall contain relevant information for each service area described in the assessment, which information may include:
(1) An inventory of existing lands and buildings utilized by the public body or public service provider to provide services within the service area;
(2) An identification of the area of each building within a service area and, in the case of schools, the number of students then enrolled in each school building;
(3) A projection of the character of development that is expected to occur during the succeeding ten-year period that will be affecting any service area;
(4) An identification of the amount of lands that will be necessary for each service area in order to accommodate the demands of the projected development;
(5) A general description of the total building area and, in the case of schools, temporary classrooms, if any, that will be necessary for each service area in order to provide capacity for the projected development;
(6) An identification of additional public facilities required to meet the demands of the projected development; and
(7) An analysis of the extent that existing public facilities are impacted by additional population demands and the annual cost for such public facilities.
(B) Public bodies and public service providers that complete needs assessments for the acquisition of lands shall periodically update those needs assessments and shall amend their adopted lands acquisition plan based on those updated needs assessments.
