§ 150.445 ELECTRICAL REQUIREMENTS.
   (A)   Conformance with City Electrical Code. All pool and equipment wiring shall conform to the current City Electrical Code and shall be installed in accordance with the graphic illustration. See graphic below.
   (B)   Conformance with National Electric Code. Pool lighting shall comply with the National Electric Code.

   (C)   Pool electrical grounding system general notes.
      (1)   All grounding wire shall be No. 8 copper grounding cable, except as indicated for power supply conduits.
      (2)   Install No. 8 AWG (minimum) unbroken copper wire from ground loop to eight foot driven ground rod or other means of grounding permitted in the National Electric Code 1990 Edition, 250-81.
      (3)   Where grounding clamps are used, they shall be of the approved type.
      (4)   Locate deck box in well drained area four feet from pool perimeter.
      (5)   All metal fittings such as inlets, vacuum fittings and the like, must be grounded to reinforcing steel independently when plastic pipe is used. See Detail G.
      (6)   Metal base to ground pump and motor to filter, if plastic pipe or dielectric fittings are used in face piping.
      (7)   All electrical fixtures shall be U.L. approved.
      (8)   Detail D is required for grounding only when copper or galvanized piping is installed.
      (9)   Detail F illustrates a typical method for grounding grab rails, handrails, ladders and the like.
      (10)   When metal main drain frame and grate is installed, ground frame to reinforcing steel.
