(A) Recirculating pumps shall have sufficient capacity to provide the rated flows of the filter system, without exceeding the head loss at which the pumps will deliver such flows.
(B) Pump motors shall not be operated at an overload which exceeds the service factor.
(1) Pool pumps shall be equipped on the inlet side with approved type hair and lint strainers, except for vacuum type filters where water passes through a filter before reaching pumps.
(2) The strainer baskets shall be noncorrosive and have an open screen surface of at least four times the cross sectional area of the inlet pipe.
