(A) Any person, firm or corporation, to engage in the business of electrical contractor or electrical contractor limited shall apply for registration to the Chief Electrical Inspector.
(B) Upon the filing of such application in proper form and the payment of the registration fee fixed herein, the Chief Electrical Inspector may register the applicant as an electrical contractor, and shall issue to the applicant a certificate of registration which will authorize the applicant to engage in such business for the year in which it is issued.
(C) The Chief Electrical Inspector shall keep a suitable record of such registrations.
