The electrical inspection division shall issue permits for the installation, alteration and repair of electrical equipment in all cases where application is made in accordance with the rules and regulations applicable thereto; shall inspect all electrical equipment installed, altered or repaired within this city and shall require that it conform to the standards and specifications applicable as provided by ordinance. The electrical inspection division shall function under the immediate supervision and control of the Chief Electrical Inspector or his or her authorized designee.
