§ 150.170 GARAGE, ATTACHED.
   There shall be no unprotected openings from a garage to any habitable room.
   (A)   (1)   All walls and ceilings of the garage shall be covered with one-half inch Type “X” gypsum wall board or approved equal.
      (2)   All joints of gypsum wall board shall be taped and the fasteners covered with approved gypsum material to a rating equal to the gypsum board.
   (B)   Garage floors shall be of minimum of 3,000 p.s.i. concrete in 28 days and five inches thick. The floor shall be placed on granular fill or on clay fill adequately compacted to support the slab.
   (C)   Garages may be heated within the restrictions set forth in § 150.021.
   (D)   The sill of the garage door opening into a residence shall be not less than six inches above the grade of the finished garage floor.
