§ 150.167 INGRESS, EGRESS AND ACCESS.
   (A)   Each living unit shall be provided with two means of access. The access areas shall be as remote as possible from one another and shall not pass through a sleeping room, bathroom or another living unit.
   (B)   Attics shall be made accessible by means of an access hole.
      (1)   Stairs shall be required for all attics having mechanical equipment requiring maintenance. These stairs need not comply with principal stair requirements.
      (2)   Access holes shall be not less than six square feet nor more than seven and one-half square feet and shall be not less than 20 inches wide.
   (C)   Crawl spaces shall be provided with unobstructed access area not less than six square feet. The opening shall be not less than three feet in width and two feet in height.
   (D)   Basements and cellars shall be provided with egress to the outside by means of a door or by a window having unobstructed open area of six square feet. The width of such window shall be not less than two feet with a sill height of not more than three feet above the finished floor. The means of egress shall be remote from the interior basement stair. An approved rectangular escape well with a ladder shall be used at the required escape window.
   (E)   Bedrooms shall have access to a bathroom without passing through another bedroom.
   (F)   Each habitable room shall have access to each other habitable room in the living unit without passing through a bedroom.
   (G)   One window in each sleeping room shall have a sill height of not more than three feet six inches above the finished floor. (See § 150.165.)
