Each of the figures of every number shall be at least three inches in height. Said numbers shall be placed in a conspicuous place, on, above or immediately to the side of the door, or else they may be placed on a tree, post or other fixture at the entrance to the property, so as to be easily and distinctly read from the center of the street on which said property abuts.
