§ 31.362 MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS.
   (A)   All applicants for employment with Lake County government shall file an application for employment with the County Human Resources Department. All applicants must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
   (B)   All applicants shall take a basic qualification/aptitude test for the area in which they are seeking employment. The Human Resources Department will develop with each officeholder and department head the type of skills needed for the position applied for.
   (C)   Based on the qualifications and aptitude test results a list of applicants will be created for the particular type of position. The officeholder and department head will conduct their own interview process to hire from within the list.
   (D)   A point system will be used for basic applicant scoring. Veterans shall receive extra points.
   (E)   Applicants for the Lake County Police Department merit personnel and Lake County correction officers shall be excluded from the procedures established by this subchapter.
   (F)   A data base of applicants for employment with Lake County government and results of the qualifications and aptitude test shall be created.
   (G)   No agreement shall be made with any applicant or employee which circumvent the "at will" doctrine.
