The following definitions apply throughout this subchapter.
COMMISSION. Refers to the Lake County Public Safety Communications Commission.
CONSOLIDATED DISPATCH CENTER. Refers to a location where consolidated dispatch services take place.
CONSOLIDATED DISPATCH FUNCTION. Refers to all of the responsibilities involved with the operation of a consolidated dispatch center including public safety call taking and dispatching of appropriate public safety responders.
COUNTY COMMISSIONERS. Refers to the Lake County Board of Commissioners.
COUNTY COUNCIL. Refers to the Lake County Council.
DEPARTMENT. Refers to the Lake County 911 Department.
MUNICIPALITY. Refers to a city or town.
NON-LAW ENFORCEMENT REPRESENTATIVE. Refers to a municipality’s Fire Chief, Emergency Management Director, or Council member.
PUBLIC SAFETY AGENCY. Federal, state, or local governmental entity eligible to hold an authorization in a public safety radio service as set forth in 47 CFR 90 et seq.
SYSTEM. Refers to the interpretable communications system of the Lake County 911 Department.
