(A) Statutory powers and duties of the Lake County Council and Lake County Board of Commissioners. Nothing in this subchapter shall preempt the rights, responsibilities, and duties of the Lake County Council with respect to its legislative and fiscal powers or of the Lake County Board of Commissioners with respect to its executive powers, as provided by law.
(B) Severability. Any section of this subchapter, found to be unconstitutional or void for any other reason shall not affect the ability of the Lake County Council, Lake County Board of Commissioners, the Committee or Citizens Advisory Council, to perform their responsibilities and duties under the remaining sections of this subchapter.
(C) Duration. The Committee shall remain in authority to complete the purpose of this subchapter until Ord. 1203A, passed 5-9-2000, is rescinded by the Lake County Council.
