(A) For those applications approved by the Public Works and Transportation Committee in accordance with § 37.012, the County Engineer is authorized, and hereby directed, to execute on behalf of this county, the Lake County Adopt-A-Highway Program Agreement with that group as contained in Appendix A, with the intent that the signed agreement is received by the Lake County Division of Transportation prior to the effective date of § 37.008. If an alternate section is approved by the Public Works and Transportation Committee, the County Engineer is authorized, and hereby directed, to execute the Lake County Adopt-A-Highway Program Agreement with that group as contained in Appendix A, with the intent that a completed application form for the alternate section and the signed agreement are received by the Division of Transportation prior to the effective date of § 37.008.
(B) It is the responsibility of the groups to submit the signed agreements to the County Engineer prior to the time required based upon the notice of § 37.012(D).
