If a notice of violation or order to comply is not complied with promptly, then the Building Commissioner will issue a stop work order as provided for in Section 9-1-12 of this chapter. The stop work order may not be removed until all violations complained of have been corrected and the fee as provided for in Section 1-12-3 has been paid. If the permittee or his or her agents refuse or are unable to correct any violation, then the Village may institute the appropriate proceedings at law or in equity to restrain, correct, or abate such violations or to require the removal or termination of the unlawful act complained of in the violation notice.
