8-1A-10: VIOLATIONS; DISCONTINUING SERVICE; FEES:
For a violation of any of these provisions or any rules and regulations as the board of trustees may hereafter adopt, the board of trustees reserves the right to stop the supply of water without any preliminary notice, nor will it be restored until all back bills, charges for water consumed at the rates set out in section 1-12-3 of this code, under the category "user charges and connection fees", of this code, costs and damages shall be paid, together with an amount for the expense of turning off the water and an amount for turning the water on again, both amounts as set out in section 1-12-3 of this code, under the category "user charges and connection fees", and upon a satisfactory understanding with the party that no further cause of complaint shall arise. The board of trustees hereby reserves to itself the full right, power and authority to cut off the supply of water at any time, without incurring any liability or cause of action for damages of any kind, any permit granted or regulation to the contrary notwithstanding. In case of a second violation of the regulations by any person, the board of trustees may cause the connection with the service pipe to be plugged. Should this be done, a charge as set out in section 1-12-3 of this code, under the category "user charges and connection fees", will be made for reinserting it. (1988 Code § 5-1A-8; amd. 2009 Code)
