7-1-16: USE OF STREETS AND SIDEWALKS FOR DISPLAYING, SELLING OR ADVERTISING:
A.   Display Or Sale Of Goods: Except as provided in subsection B of this section, it shall be unlawful for any person to use any street, sidewalk or other public place as space for the display or sale of goods, merchandise or advertising signs, or to write or mark any signs or advertisements on any such pavements, unless approved in advance by the board of trustees by resolution duly adopted.
B.   Outdoor Eating; Farmers' Markets; Outdoor Service Areas: Public rights of way within the village may be used for outdoor eating, farmers' markets, outdoor service areas as defined in section 3-2-1 of this code, and other similar activities; provided, that advance written approval is granted therefor as follows:
1.   For activities that will, or are anticipated to, occur for thirty (30) or less consecutive days, advance written approval by the village administrator shall be required.
2.   For activities that will, or are anticipated to, occur for more than thirty (30) consecutive days, advance approval by the board of trustees by resolution duly adopted shall be required. (Ord. 2011-6, 4-11-2011)
