3-5-3: LICENSE FEES AND TERM:
A.   Taxicab Service: The annual license fee for a public passenger vehicle (taxicab) license shall be as set out in section 1-12-3 of this code, under the category "license fees", for each company engaged in such business. Such license fee shall be in addition to any fees or licenses heretofore established. All licenses issued under the provisions of this chapter shall be for a term not to exceed one year commencing May 1 in each year and shall expire on April 30 in the following year. In the case of a license issued on or after November 1 in each year, one-half (1/2) of the above fee shall be paid.
B.   Livery Service: The annual license fee for a livery service license shall be as set out in section 1-12-3 of this code, under the category "license fees", for each company engaged in such business. Such license fee shall be in addition to any fees or licenses heretofore established. All licenses issued under the provisions of this chapter shall be for a term not to exceed one year commencing May 1 in each year and shall expire on April 30 in the following year. In the case of licenses issued on or after November 1 in each year, one-half (1/2) of the above fee shall be paid. "Livery", as used herein, shall include all public passenger vehicles (taxicabs) with a capacity of seven (7) or more adult individuals including the driver thereof, and must comply with all of the provisions of ordinances applicable to public passenger vehicles (taxicabs).
