3-1-4: LICENSE TRANSFERS:
A.   Village Permission Required: No license granted under any village ordinance shall be assignable or transferable without permission of the board of trustees, nor shall any such license authorize any person to do business or act thereunder, but the person named therein, unless otherwise provided by ordinance. (1988 Code § 3-1-4)
B.   Fee: Unless otherwise provided, the fee for transferring a license for any purpose shall be as set out in section 1-12-3 of this code, under the category "license fees", to be paid to the village treasurer for the use of the village. (1988 Code § 3-1-4; amd. 2009 Code)
C.   Duty Of New Licensee; Bond: Any person to whom any license may have been issued under any ordinance of the village who, with the permission of the board of trustees, assigns or transfers the same to any other person than the person to whom such license was issued, or the assignee of such license, shall surrender such license, and such assignee shall apply for a new license for the unexpired term of the old license authorizing the assignee to carry on the same business or occupation at such place as may be named in such new license; provided, that in all cases, the party applying for such new license shall give a bond with sureties, which shall conform as near as may be to the bond upon which such surrendered license was issued.
