A tax ("demolition tax") is imposed on any person granted a demolition permit pursuant to section 9-1-18 of this code. The demolition tax for each demolition permit shall be levied at the rate set out in section 1-12-3 of this title, under the category "construction/building fees", and shall be in addition to any demolition permit fees paid pursuant to said section 1-12-3 of this title, under the category "construction/building fees", and all other applicable fees and charges.
