Dry detention basins shall be designed to remove storm water pollutants, to be safe, and as much as feasible, to be available for multiple uses.
(A) Drainage basins shall be designed so that 80% of their bottom area shall have standing water no longer than 72 hours after any runoff event equal to or less than the 100-year event, and after any tailwater affecting the discharge from the pond recedes. Underdrains directed to the pond outlet shall be used if necessary to accomplish this requirement.
(B) All dry detention basins shall be designed to remove storm water pollutants. Peak dry detention basin release rate shall be no greater than 0.10 cfs per acre for all runoff volumes less than or equal to the runoff from the 100-year, 24-hour rainfall for the developed property.
