The Treasurer shall perform such duties as may be prescribed for him or her by statute or ordinance. He or she shall receive all money paid into the village whether directly from the person paying the money or from the hands of such other officer or employee as may receive it, and he or she shall pay out moneyonly on vouchers, orders or warrants properly signed. The Finance Director (if not already serving as Treasurer) shall have authority to act as Treasurer in the absence of the Treasurer. In the absence of both the Treasurer and the Finance Director, the Assistant Village Manager shall have authority to act as Treasurer.
