§ 31.056 APPOINTMENT, DUTIES OF DEPUTY CLERK.
   The Village Clerk may, by and with the consent of the President and Board of Trustees, appoint a Deputy Clerk, who in the absence of the Clerk in case of sickness or otherwise, shall be empowered to perform all the duties of the Village Clerk. The Deputy Clerk shall have the power and duty to execute and sign all documents, checks and other official writings on behalf of the Village Clerk.
