The Village Clerk shall be elected for a term of four years and shall assume office at the conclusion of the first regularly scheduled meeting of the Board of Trustees following the certification of the election, and the Clerk shall provide such duties as provided by statute. The Clerk shall receive such compensation as shall be fixed from time to time by the Board of Trustees in accordance with statute.
