§ 31.008 DUTY TO DELIVER EFFECTS OF OFFICE ON TERMINATING EMPLOYMENT.
   Every officer and employee of the village, upon the expiration of his or her term for any cause whatsoever, shall deliver to his or her successor all books and records which may be the property of the village, and if no successor has been appointed within one week after the termination of office, the property shall be delivered either to the Village Clerk or Village Treasurer.
