No open burning, in open fires in metal containers, of leaves, uprooted weeds, grass clippings, discarded furniture or clothing shall be permitted upon any private lot or upon any public ground within the village limits. Any person violating this section shall, upon conviction, be fined not less than $5 nor more than $500 for each offense. Each day the violation shall continue shall constitute a separate offense.
