(A) It is the duty of any person walking along and upon improved streets not having sidewalks to keep on the left of the paved portion, or on the left shoulder thereof, and upon meeting a vehicle when walking on the paved portion to step off to the left.
(B) Where sidewalks are provided, it shall be unlawful for any pedestrian to walk along and upon an adjacent roadway.
