Where permitted within district regulations, planned unit developments shall be considered special uses. A planned unit development shall be granted in accordance with the procedures and standards of this subchapter, and the special use provisions of § 153.058. Unless specifically approved by the ordinance granting or amending the planned unit development as a special use, the requirements of the underlying district shall apply. The ordinance granting or amending the planned unit development as a special use may depart from the normal procedures, standards and other requirements of this chapter to the extent permissible under this subchapter.
