(A) The Village President, with the advice and consent of the Board of Trustees, shall appoint the Village Manager the role of Budget Officer who shall have the powers, duties and responsibilities enumerated in the pertinent sections of the Illinois Revised Statutes as they are now or may hereafter be amended. The Budget Officer shall take an oath and shall give bond in such sum as may be required by statute.
(B) The Budget Officer shall perform all duties assigned to him or her by the Board of Trustees or by person or persons designated by them and such other and additional duties as the corporate authorities may from time to time direct.
