Upon written information of a violation of Section 557.01 and/or 557.02, the Village Administrator shall cause a written notice to be served upon the owner, agent, tenant or lessee or other person having charge of the land, notifying him or her of a violation of Section 557.01 and/or 557.02 and that the same must be cut and/or destroyed or otherwise remedied within five (5) days after the service of such notice. Notice shall be served personally or sent by U.S. certified mail return receipt requested and by regular U.S. Mail to the tax mailing address as shown on the Lorain County Records and to any other known address of the owner, agent, tenant or lessee having charge of the land. If the address of the owner, agent, tenant or lessee or other person having charge of the land is unknown or if certified mail is returned for any reason other than the recipient’s refusal to accept such service, the said notice shall be published once in a newspaper of general circulation in Lorain County.
