§ 93.99 PENALTY.
   (A)   Any violation of this chapter to which no other specific penalty applies shall subject to the penalty set forth in § 10.99.
   (B)   Violations of §§ 93.01 et seq. are misdemeanors and shall be punished as provided in § 10.99 of this code. The acts or omissions prohibited in this chapter may be enjoined or abated and such civil law remedy shall not preclude subsequent prosecution for violations on the criminal side of the court. Nor shall an initial criminal prosecution of a violation prohibit the subsequent institution of civil remedies where indicated.

   (C)   Any person who shall neglect to cut and remove weeds, grass, brush, and other vegetation as directed in §§ 93.50 et seq., or who shall fail, neglect, or refuse to comply with the provisions of any notice herein provided, or who shall violate any of the provisions of §§ 93.50 et seq., or who shall resistor obstruct the city or its employees or its agents in the cutting and removal of weeds, grass, brush,and other vegetation, shall, upon conviction thereof, be subject to a fine of not less than $15 normore than $300, and each day on which such violation continues shall constitute a separate offense.
   (D)   Violation of any provision of § 93.62 is a misdemeanor; however, the City Official responsible for the enforcement of these regulations may, in his or her discretion, charge the violation a petty misdemeanor. Whether misdemeanor or petty misdemeanor, the punishment in the event of conviction shall be in accordance with and pursuant to the laws of the State of Minnesota.
