§ 70.50 WHEN PUBLIC THOROUGHFARE TRAVEL IS ALLOWED. 
   Notwithstanding any prohibitions in this subchapter, a snowmobile may be operated on a public thoroughfare in an emergency during the period of time when and at locations where snow upon the roadway renders travel by automobile impractical. When practical, the existence of an emergency shall be determined by declaration of the Mayor, or in the absence of the Mayor, the Chief of Police or acting Chief of Police.
