§ 70.20 EXCESSIVE ACCELERATION PROHIBITED.
   It shall be unlawful and prohibited by this section to speed start or accelerate any motor vehicle in a manner exhibiting unnecessary speed on any public or private roadway, including driveways and parking lots, within the city. Acceleration of any kind which causes squealing tires and the like shall be deemed to be inherently hazardous and contrary to public safety. The squealing or screeching sound emitted by tires or the throwing of sand and/or gravel by tires so accelerated shall be prima facie evidence of the violation of this section.
