Should a proposal be made to the City Board of Public Works and Safety that a privately constructed storm or sanitary sewer be dedicated to the public for public use, the Board may condition its acceptance of any such dedication upon the provision of such performance or maintenance bonds, or both, as are required to assure the city that the sewer will be constructed in compliance with city specifications and will continue to perform acceptably throughout the term of the maintenance bond.
