(A) Construction of private wells in established water service districts is prohibited, except for irrigation purposes only upon approval of the Township DPW Superintendent and any other required governmental agencies.
(B) Private water wells that are located within a water supply district and are in operation prior in time to the establishment of the water supply district can be abandoned and shall not be connected in any way that may cause a cross-connection with the municipal water system to any building connected to the water system by the property owner in accordance with procedures established by the County Health Department prior to connection to the township water system.
