4-11-11: PROCEDURES REGARDING LICENSE APPLICATION:
   A.   The Fire Chief shall within 20 days after receipt of an application for an ambulance service license as provided for herein, cause such investigation as he/she deems necessary to be made of the applicant and of its proposed operations and the vehicles, equipment, and premises designated in the application. The Fire Chief shall submit his/her report and recommendation to the City Council upon completion thereof.
   B.   Upon receipt of the afforested report and recommendation from the Fire Chief, the City Council will then review the same and authorize the issuance of a license for a specified ambulance service to be valid for a period of one year unless earlier suspended, revoked or terminated if the City Council finds the following conditions have been met:
      1.   The public convenience and necessity require the proposed ambulance service;
      2.   Each such ambulance, its required equipment and the premises designated in the application, comply with the requirements and standards prescribed in this chapter and with the regulations promulgated under such chapter;
      3.   All the requirements of this chapter and all other applicable laws and ordinances have been met. (Ord. 23-09, 7-17-2023)
