A. The city council, upon application and approval, may grant authority to an organization to hold events in the downtown business square area. If said authority is granted, the organization authorized by the council shall have control of the number and type of vendors allowed at said event, with the exception of alcoholic beverage sellers, which must be approved by the council. Possession of a city license pursuant to this chapter does not guarantee a holder of said license the right to participate in the event.
B. Said organization may charge a fee for participation by a participant separate and distinct from the city's license requirements. However, if the participant will only be participating in these events, no city license shall be required. (Ord. 09-04, 4-20-2009)
