2-1-2: TERM; QUALIFICATION:
   A.   Term: The term of office of said members shall be five (5) years. Any vacancy occurring on the commission shall be filled by the council for the unexpired term. (Ord. 502, 5-2-1960)
   B.   Qualification: Members of this commission shall be over the age of eighteen (18) years. (1996 Code)
   C.   Resignation: If a commission member has been absent from three (3) or more consecutive regular meetings, the city clerk shall include this as an item on the agenda for the next regular council meeting. At that meeting, the council shall set a date for a hearing and direct the city clerk to give the member notice of the hearing by personal service or first class mail to the member's last known address. At the hearing, the commission member shall have the right to present information on why one or more of the absences should be excused. If the council does not excuse one or more of the member's absences by a majority vote at the conclusion of the hearing, there shall be a vacancy on the commission. (Ord. 11-11, 11-21-2011)
