No person shall drag or cause to be dragged, on any street any tree or other object without first obtaining a written permit signed by the Clerk and by the Public Works Director or the City Manager. No such permit shall be issued unless the signing officers are reasonably satisfied that the dragging of the object for which the permit is signed will do no injury to the street. Any permit issued shall specify the object to be dragged, the route to be traveled, and the approximate date it is to be done. (Ord. 454, 9-15-1955; amd. Ord. 83-4, 12-5-1983; 1996 Code)
