Any person who shall carry on his/her person any concealed weapon shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, except that this provision shall not apply to police officers or other persons whose duty is to execute process or warrants or make arrests, or others having permits to carry concealed weapons pursuant to Iowa Code, section 724.4.
