It shall be unlawful for any person to operate or cause to be operated a motor vehicle or motorcycle on a public right of way at any time in such a manner that it emits sound which exceeds the level set forth in Table 1 of this Section for the specified speed limit zone, regardless of the actual speed of the motor vehicle or motorcycle.
Table 1. Motor vehicle and motorcycle maximum sound levels measured at fifteen (15) meters fifty feet (50') with a sound level meter.
In the event the distance is less than fifty feet (50'), such listed sound level will be corrected to reflect the equivalent sound levels for the actual distance.
