5-4-5: IMPOUNDMENT FEES AND BOND:
   A.   Evidence Of Identity: Before the owner or other person lawfully entitled to possession of any vehicle that has been impounded under the provisions of this Chapter or any other provision of law may recover such vehicle, such person shall present to the Department evidence of such person's identity and right to possession of the vehicle, shall sign a receipt for its return, and shall pay the costs of:
      1.   An impoundment fee of twenty five dollars ($25.00);
      2.   Towing charges.
      3.   Preservation charges.
      4.   Storage charges.
      5.   Notice charges.
   B.   Charges Set By Council: The amount of the charges specified in subsection A1 of this Section shall be set by the Council. The towing charges, preservation charges and storage charges shall be limited to the actual costs of such charges.
   C.   Posting Cash Bond: If a hearing is requested under subsection 5-4-4A5, the owner or person lawfully entitled to possession of the vehicle shall be permitted to secure the immediate release of the vehicle upon posting a cash bond in an amount equal to the sum of:
      1.   The fees required by subsection A of this Section.
      2.   The amount of the fine or penalty for each violation for which there is an outstanding or otherwise unsettled traffic violation notice or warrant. (Ord. 87-6, 9-21-1987)
