5-1-6: STOPS AT INTERSECTING THROUGH HIGHWAYS AND OTHER INTERSECTIONS:
At the intersections of through highways and at intersections upon streets other than through highways, where, because of heavy cross traffic or other traffic conditions, particular hazards exist, the Chief of Police is hereby authorized to determine whether vehicles shall stop or yield at one or more entrances to any such intersection and shall present said recommendations to the Council, and upon approval by the Council by resolution, shall erect an appropriate sign at every such place when a stop or yield is required.
