4-3-24: YARD WASTES:
The purpose of this section is to provide for regulations pertaining to the disposal of yard wastes generated within the city limits.
   A.   Definitions Of Yard Waste:
   COMPOST: Organic material resulting from biological decomposition of waste which can be used as a soil conditioner or soil amendment.
   YARD WASTES: Debris such as grass clippings, leaves, garden waste, brush and trees. Yard waste does not include tree stumps.
   B.   Separation Of Yard Wastes Required: All yard wastes shall be separated by the owner or occupant from all other garbage and refuse accumulated on the premises and placed in containers, or packages and set out for collection, which is agreeable to the licensee.
   C.   Requirements Of Licensee: Garbage, refuse and/or recyclable hauler licensed by the city shall be required to provide a means in which all clients of the licensee shall have the ability to dispose of yard waste generated. The licensee shall dispose of any yard waste collected by the licensee by any legal means available. The licensee shall be required to dispose of any yard wastes collected in full compliance with any local, state or federal regulations. (Ord. 01-15, 12-17-2001)
