In the event that an impounded animal is wearing a county license tag or tag of any contracting city, town or village, written notification shall be delivered to the owner's residence within 48 hours of the time the animal is first impounded. The notification shall contain information necessary to identify the animal and shall state the date, time and location of his or her apprehension or pick-up, and the notification shall be dated and signed by the Animal Warden or other authorized person. The notification shall contain other information regarding the procedure for the owner to redeem the animal as the Board of Commissioners deems reasonably necessary.
