(A) If the Municipal Judge shall find a party guilty of violating an ordinance or a state law within the jurisdiction of his court, he may impose a fine or imprisonment, or both, not to exceed $500 or 30 days, unless otherwise provided in this code.

(B) All revenues arising from fines shall be turned over by the Clerk of Court to the Treasurer of the municipality.
